Wallet set up

Before you are able to purchase cryptocurrencies/value tokens, you must first set up your own personalised crypto currency wallet, to enable the transfer between us to you.

A cryptocurrency wallet is a secure digital wallet used to store, send, and receive digital currencies.

When you set up a wallet, you will receive a Public Key (also known as a public address). Your Public Key is what we use so that we know where to send your value tokens, and each type of value token has a different Public Key. It is your responsibility to ensure you provide us with the correct Public Key, as we are unable to recover or reimburse tokens sent to an incorrect Public Key provided by you and accept no liability if this error is made by you.

For more information about Public Keys visit our FAQ.

The process to set up the wallets is surprisingly quite simple, so lets get started.

Hardware Wallets

Token Room sell the highly regarded Ledger wallets, and these informative videos show you how to set them up and get started.

Software Wallets

Software wallets are an alternative to hardware wallets and although free, are not as secure as a hardware wallet. There are many software wallets, and most value tokens have a native wallet.

If you decide a software wallet is for you, we encourage you to do your own research and find a wallet that is right for you.

An example of a software wallet is the Jaxx wallet, this is one we’ve used in the past and find it fairly user friendly.

The Token Room team would like to thank all our current and future customers for your support whilst we work through our current banking challenges.

Token Room is, and will continue to be committed to meeting and exceeding all of our current legislative requirements. We have extensive AML policies, procedures and Customer Due Diligence procedures in place. At times our vigilance in this area has frustrated some of you however, this was always performed to ensure that we were compliant and could continue enabling Kiwis to build their Digital Asset Portfolios
